It is located in Leilani Estates in the beautiful and tropical area of Puna, 30 minutes from Hilo (International Airport) and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and 5 minutes from Pahoa. Hale Moana Bed & Breakfast is a licensed, quality-inspected B&B surrounded by two acres of tropical botanical gardens in an ambience of old Hawaii.

The charming town of Pahoa offers a selection of excellent restaurants, stores, and galleries. Farmers’ Markets close to Pahoa, Keaau, and Hilo display the island’s rich agricultural opulence with its fruits, vegetables, and beautiful tropical flowers. The open markets are a wonderful source to get original gifts and souvenirs from Island artists and to experience the alternative flair of the Big Island.

Our guestrooms include three suites with living room and kitchenette and one studio. All have private bathrooms and separate entrances. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, laundry facility, BBQ grill, free parking, masks and snorkels, maps, individual itinerary planning, and more and they are available to our guests at no extra charge. Our gourmet island breakfast is included in our rates. We welcome families.
